Moria, "Dark Pit", is the name given to the larger mines built by the Dwarves in Middle-Earth. Also known as Khazad-dûm (mansion of the dwarves), the Mine, the Dwarf, was for a long time the symbol of the power of the Dwarf village, being a great centre of trade and mining despite being somewhat removed from other mines dwarfs. Moria, was the oldest and the most famous of the kingdoms of the dwarves. However, the prosperity ended when the Dwarves dug too deep in search of mithril, and woke up to an ancient Balrog that was in slumber in the depths of the earth... The Dwarves abandoned then Khazad-dûm, and the mines, it became a place of darkness and fear. |
Battle of khazad Dum diorama 44 x 18 cm and 40cm high Unique piece, I've built the legendary battle between Gandalf and the Balrog, was perhaps what I most impact of the first film of the Lord of the rings, I have tried to create the atmosphere of Moria, but is a cave, here I have added the hall ( a piece of the course) and the height of the battle, when Gandalf faces the Balrog.
